Professional Development
Through interview training, resume help, one-on-one mentorship, and private company recruiting, KTP helps members feel ready for whatever direction they want to take in tech.
KTP brings together students who care about building strong careers, stronger friendships, and a lasting network in tech.

KTP was founded in 2012 as the first professional technology fraternity in the country. We're a co-ed organization, and since then we've grown into a tight-knit community built around a shared passion for technology.
Our members come from all over campus, spanning Computer Science, Business, Journalism, Psychology, Biology, Studio Art, Hispanic Studies, Economics, and more. The variety of backgrounds and perspectives is a big part of what makes the community strong.
Our alumni are spread across the country, at companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google as well as all kinds of startups. A lot of them stay in touch and are happy to help current members however they can.
Kappa Theta Pi gives brothers real support during their time at UNC, centered around five core pillars.
Through interview training, resume help, one-on-one mentorship, and private company recruiting, KTP helps members feel ready for whatever direction they want to take in tech.
Our alumni are all over the world working on cutting-edge technology at places like Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Google, and Meta, along with startups, consulting firms, and more.
The people you meet in Kappa Theta Pi can easily become some of your closest friends. We host socials throughout the semester, from formals and tailgates to retreat, where people actually get to know each other.
Kappa Theta Pi gives members a lot of chances to grow their technical skills. Whether it's through a project team or a workshop, we make it easier to build things that matter.
KTP brothers look out for each other academically too. Members have a strong support system full of smart, helpful people who are down to help with classes and everything else piling up during the semester.

I chose to join KTP because I felt it was the only CS organization that really went above and beyond in both professional growth and community. Some of my best friendships at UNC started here.
